Dental Implants (With lifetime replacement warranty)

  • The Most IDEAL REPLACEMENT FOR MISSING TEETH.

  • Dental Implant is a titanium structure that is anchored into the bone where the tooth is to be replaced. This structure acts like a support for the ‘crown’ or the artificial tooth.

  • These mechanics are exactly similar to how a natural tooth anchors itself, and therefore, dental implants are the ideal replacement solution.

Advantage of Dental Implants:

1. Help in chewing and biting almost similar to healthy natural teeth. You can enjoy your favorite foods such as meats and nuts, as if you were using healthy, natural teeth.

2. Increase the aesthetic quotient of the smile. Because of missing teeth, the face and cheeks have a sunken appearance and a person looks much older than he or she actually is. With dental implants, there is a fullness to the face, and a well balanced, natural and radiant smile is gained. This process alone would make one look at least 10 years younger!

Why replace missing teeth?

One can face the problem of missing teeth at any point in life.

Tooth loss can be due to trauma, accident, severe gum disease, tooth decay or even due to poor oral hygiene. If left untreated missing teeth can lead to various consequences such as:

  • Drifting of adjacent teeth in the extraction space causing an improper bite

  • Speech problems/lisping resulting from the gap created by one or more missing teeth

  • Difficulty in chewing and biting. This eventually causes further gastric and indigestion problems.

  • Sunken facial appearance, giving an old age appearance and wrinkled as missing teeth can cause sagging of muscles which can’t support lips & cheeks.

  • Tooth decay and gum disease, over time, due to plaque accumulation & food entrapment in the gap caused by the missing teeth

  • Social embarrassment due to missing teeth

Dental Implants help to overcome all the above-mentioned problems. They are no doubt the best, and most popular solution for the replacement of missing teeth. Dental implants come closest to mimicking natural teeth. They are also known as the “3rd set of the dentition”.

Dental implants are fit for every individual having missing teeth irrespective of their age and gender.

With more than a 98% success rate, implants assure dental patients about their teeth and gum’s wellbeing.

Difference Between Dental Implants & Bridges

Dental implants are actually more tooth-saving than traditional bridgework

Bridges Implants
May compromise the adjacent natural tooth as it
involves grinding adjacent teeth
No grinding/drilling
adjacent teeth

Successful replacement of teeth with implants is an extremely ‘technique sensitive’ process, requiring great expertise.

Root Canal Treatment (RCT)

  • Every tooth is made up of 3 layers: the outermost white layer called enamel. The 2nd yellow layer is called Dentine and the innermost Dental Pulp consisting of nerves and blood vessels.

  • If the tooth decay/ cavity is limited to the first two layers (enamel and dentin), it can be corrected with Filling/ Restoration. In case the tooth decay reaches the third layer of the Pulp, it causes inflammation or infection of pulp, a Root Canal treatment (RCT) or Endodontic Treatment is needed.

  • Root Canal Treatment, RCT, also known as Endodontic Treatment is a procedure done when the tooth decay reaches the pulp (innermost layer of the tooth containing nerves and blood vessels that houses the nerves and the blood supply) causing inflammation.

  • Every tooth is important for chewing and hence it is always necessary to save the damaged tooth from extraction.

  • At Trudentz Endodontic Centre, Chandivali, Powai, painless root canal procedures/treatments are generally performed by an Endodontist who is known as a Root Canal Specialist.

The procedure involves:
  • Removal of decayed and infected tooth material

  • Cleaning and disinfection with advanced root canal rotary systems

  • Filling and sealing with an inert material

  • Restoration and crown/cap

  • Some cases of Root Canal treatment Can be completed in a single sitting, whereas a few cases need multiple sittings.

Dental Scaling and Polishing (Teeth Cleaning)

  • Gum disease means an infection of the gums, bone and other areas that support the teeth.

  • Inflammation of the gums is called Gingivitis, and when the disease involves the bone as well, it is called periodontitis. (also known as pyorrhea). With this form of the disease, irreversible damage may occur to your gums and other areas of support for your teeth.

  • Gum disease may affect any age group but is more likely to occur in adults.

  • Nearly 70% of the people are affected by this disease at some point in their life. Though such a prevalent disease most people are unaware of the issue and the problems it can cause.

How do I know if I have Gum Disease?

What is the role of Plaque?

PLAQUE is the major cause of gum disease (gingivitis and periodontitis).

Food particles remaining behind on teeth is called as materia alba. If the materia alba stays longer on teeth, it gets converted into plaque, a sticky, colourless film of bacteria that builds up on the teeth, particularly at the necks of teeth where they meet the gums which irritates the gums and causes gingivitis.

Plaque that remains on and between teeth may eventually.

thicken, harden and calcify to become calculus (or tartar, as it is often called).

Calculus has a rough surface and attracts more plaque.

Other factors causing gum disease

  • Diabetes or autoimmune disorders

  • Smoking

  • Aging & Stress

  • Hormonal fluctuations & Pregnancy

  • Irregular or crowded teeth can cause food lodgement, and calculus formation

  • Severe protrusion of teeth causes mouth breathing, leading to Gingivitis

What are Wisdom teeth?

Wisdom teeth often known as third molars are the last teeth to erupt in the oral cavity. One usually gets them in late teens or early twenties.(Generally a person is said to achieve wisdom when he is an adult, around 18 years of age. Hence the term Wisdom teeth, as they erupt around that age.)

However, even instances of eruption in late adulthood are common.

A wisdom tooth can erupt anytime between 16 to 60 years of age.

If there is adequate space in the jaw, wisdom teeth or 3rd molars can erupt smoothly.

However in most cases, there is inadequate space in the jaw to accommodate the wisdom teeth. Hence they erupt partially or sometimes fail to erupt completely. It is also possible that wisdom tooth is impacted. This means that the wisdom teeth remain intact in the soft tissue and partially break or erupt through the gums.

When there is improper alignment of wisdom teeth in the jaw, they tend to damage adjacent teeth, cause food lodgement, gum inflammation, and eventually need to be removed.

Should I get my Wisdom teeth removed?

It is not necessary to remove wisdom teeth as long as they are not causing any problems.

You may need to get wisdom teeth extracted/removed in the following conditions:

If wisdom teeth are impacted and causing pain, redness, foul breath, bad taste, and/or swelling in the gums

Sometimes after Orthodontic treatment it is suggested to get wisdom teeth removed to prevent crowding of teeth

If they are causing food lodgement, eventually decaying the adjacent tooth

Sometimes wisdom teeth may cause difficulty in opening the mouth. It is advised to remove them at that stage.

Procedure for Wisdom teeth removal

At Trudentz Multispeciality Dental and Wisdom tooth removal centre, Powai, Chandivali, we have on panel one of the best teams of Oral surgeons, to handle any cases of wisdom teeth extraction.
